Dear Brother Knight,
I am pleased to inform you that this weekend, the Portland Film Festival will feature the debut of the Knights of Columbus-produced documentary, Unbreakable: A Story of Hope and Healing in Haiti. It is the inspiring story of the earthquake amputees there and the transformation of their lives made possible by the support of the Knights of Columbus for Project Medishare's amputee program. The film features footage from Haiti, the story of several earthquake amputees who received prosthetics and rehabilitation through the support of the K of C, and interviews with the supreme knight and with those involved in the K of C-Project Medishare amputee program there.
The documentary will be shown at 2:30 PM Saturday, August 30 and Sunday, August 31 at Portland's Cinema 21 at 616 NW 21st Ave.
We would be delighted to have you and your family attend and would also greatly appreciate your assistance in letting brother Knights in the area know that the film will be debuted there and encouraging their attendance. Details and tickets are available here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/unbreakable-a-story-of-hope-and-healing-in-haiti-tickets-12261389145
The documentary includes some heart-wrenching scenes of the 2010 earthquake itself and the devastating aftermath, which may be too intense for children.
Should you have any questions, please feel free to call (203) 824-3771 or email david.naglieri@kofc.org .You can also visit the film's website at http://www.unbreakableinhaiti.com/
We hope to see you Saturday.
Fraternally,
