Your GK only seems crazy

I appologize.  I have a separate blog for political/economic issues, and I accidently posted something last night that was meant for the other blog.  Mea culpa.

What a busy Holy Week

Passdowns from the meeting:
The next breakfast is now rescheduled to May 19 at SJF due to a Cinco De Mayo celebration at the school.  Mike Devlin hopes you will all be free to volunteer.

The St. Clare's Easter Egg Hunt went off without a hitch- 250 kids hunted eggs.  We need to make more room for toddlers next year- I should have known since I can't keep baptism pins in stock.

From Deacon Bill:
Hi Everyone,

I want to sincerely thank each and every one of you and your families for making the Easter Egg Hunt this year a tremendous success.
We were able to distribute over 400 Easter Eggs to all the children and everyone had a wonderful day.  Children at the 10:45 am Mass also participated and they were in church with their Easter baskets.
This is such a wonderful community thanks to all of you!
Wishing you and your families Many Blessings from God!

May 12 is Mother's day, we have flowers on order.  Please contact either Ken Paulsen to volunteer at St. John Fisher (we need 2 per Mass starting at the 4:30 Saturday evening Mass on May 11) or Ted Seeber to volunteer at St. Clare's (we need 3 per Mass starting at the 5pm Saturday Evening Mass on May 11).  This is a fine opportunity for family volunteering- nothing is more cute than a young kid selling a flower for Mother's day- but please remember that we need an adult to hold the money envelope.

And finally, a reminder from Crux, neither of our pastors will request you buy gift cards for charity, except for the ongoing program of buying script at the school script tables for SVDP.  And neither of our pastors, at either St. Clare's or St. John Fisher, use gmail e-mail addresses directly.

Warning: Priests names being used by scammers on Gmail

In the last week, members of our council have received fake e-mails supposedly from both Fr.. Don and Fr. Richard.  Please be aware that when you pull down the header, these e-mails are coming from gmail addresses.  Neither of these priests use gmail as their primary account; instead they use addresses that match the church websites.

Thank you to all who helped with this morning's breakfast!

Gross $491
Expenses: $172
