Request for Volunteer Gleaners

Calling all Knights:  Have ypu ever wanted to shop for charity for free?

Junque & Jewels is in need of people to glean for some charities that do not pick up.  Gleaners would need to be able to deliver the items to the charities.  If we do not have people to glean, items will be taken to Good Will.

We would like to glean for the following groups:

Northwest Children’s Outreach - (need several people for this)

Blanchet House – (need 1-2 people)

St Francis Dining Hall – (need 1-2 people)

St Andre Bessette – (need 1-2 people)

Gleaning will be from 1:45 – 2:30 PM on Sunday, June 23rd.

Please contact Theresa Duda at pntduda@gmail.comor 503-245-1678 if you can help.

Thank you,

The J&J Team

Not a Knight, but a member of St. Clare's Parish, was found dead on a camping trip

From SIS:
Dear friends,
Laura Mason-Hughes called Fr. Don last evening to let him know that Paul's body had been found yesterday.
All our prayers now need to go for comfort and support for Laura--and for the repose of Paul's soul.
Funeral plans are pending, but if you wanted to send Laura a note, her address is
15760 SW Oak Meadow Lane, Tigard OR 972214.
Our loving and prayerful community means a lot at a time like this.
God bless.

Update on St. Clare's Junque and Jewels Setup

From Theresa Duda:

We have a crew of people for set up Friday night; last year we were able to get it almost all done then.

But, we can always use people to help with sorting, organizing, etc of donations. If any Knights want to help during that time, that would be great.
Those times are 12-8 Saturday 6/15, then 8-8 6/16-6/20. Come for as long as you like. If any of the guys are particularly good at sorting yard and garden or tools, that would be super helpful. Also, Ray Nelke often can use some help organizing electronics. It isn't glamorous work, but it is super, super helpful and we sell more if it is organized.

Thanks

I would also like to remind you all that 4 hours work, means a ticket to the Thursday Night pre-sale.
