MOTHER'S DAY FLOWER SALE - BABY BOTTLES

Next Sunday is Mother's Day - and at St. John Fisher, we'll need some volunteers after masses (4:30 vigil, 9 and 11 on Sunday) to hand out the flowers and collect the money.  After each mass, Fr. Richard will announce something like:

"To honor of our Mothers, the Knights of Columbus are offering fresh Carnations for a suggested donation of $1 per flower.  Also, baby bottles are available to take home and fill with coins and can be dropped off in the narthex when filled.  All proceeds will benefit Mother and Child Education Center."

Ted, can you head up something similar for St. Clare?

The flowers were ordered a couple weeks ago, and will arrive this Friday - just in time to bloom for the weekend.   I will have multiple (3) 5-gallon buckets full of flowers for each parish ready to go.

The flowers sell themselves... no pushing necessary - and the proceeds do so much good.

For St. J.F. volunteers, please let me know which mass you attend (4:30, 9 or 11).
Thanks,
Ken

Another slightly off topic blog post

A few of our brothers have been getting these scam calls again.  I don't think it is due to a leak of data, only that we all use computers and thus, are potential targets for these common scam calls.  Click through to this link to see 5 common ones.
