Knights of Columbus in the Ukraine

Ray Prom
State Deputy
Oregon Knights of Columbus

Today (Thursday) at 1:30 PM, I called the State Deputy from Poland.  He had been communicating to me through Facebook messenger just prior. He had just got off the phone with the State Deputy from Ukraine.  (Yes, we have Knights of Columbus in the Ukraine.) The Ukrainian State Deputy contacted the Polish State Deputy to let him know that there were some Brother Knights from the Ukraine, fleeing the battles, and going with their families hurriedly into neighboring Poland. He asked that assistance be given to the Ukrainian Knights and their families. When I asked what Oregon could do, if we could send money, the Polish State Deputy passed on the request from the Ukrainian State Deputy. He asked that we pray. ALL of us, every day, for the victims of the war.  So I want to relay his message to all of you, to all our Brother Knights in Oregon, and their families. Please pray for a quick end to the war in the Ukraine. For most of us, the war is a distant and non-personal event. But when you hear that our Brother Knights are fleeing for their lives and their families lives, when the possibility is great that there may be Ukrainian Knights of Columbus who will be casualties of the war, it becomes much more personal. In times like these, the least we can do is pray. In times like these, the MOST we can do is pray. Pray for Peace in the Ukraine.

Thank you!
Vivat Jesus
