From our Field Agent

I do not think we have any members left in Washington, but I'm passing this along to introduce Todd Lincoln, our new field agent.

Good Morning Theodore,

Washington States Long Term Care OPT OUT window is closing. The new .58% tax on employee's payroll deadline is upon us. Underwriting takes one and a half months from start to finish. Choices are few and last minute applications are slowing down the process

The State's plan is not portable - if you move from the state you cannot take your money with you. If you work in Washington and live in another state, you pay the tax but are not eligible for benefits. If you live in Washington and work in another state, you will still be taxed. And you are not eligible to receive benefits until vested for ten years of contribution nor are they guarantee by the state.

According to the Washington Department of Social and Health Services http://www.wacaresfund.wa.gov/

Your Knights of Columbus is still accepting applications and is a simple solution for LTC coverage. Choice:  Pay the state, pay to a competitor or work with the KNIGHTS of COLUMBUS.
