We had a terrific discussion at the last KofC meeting on the book I Heard God Laugh, Part 1 - The Unexpected Life. This book is a guide to help us encounter God in a powerful way and to help us start a habit of daily prayer.
We will be continuing our discussion at our next meeting (Tuesday June 15th) with Part 2 - My Spiritual Journey. For those that do not have the book, you can click HERE and download a scanned PDF of Part 2.
Here are some possible discussion questions that have been recommended for you to think on as you read the second part:
Question 1: When did your spiritual journey begin? Is there a moment when you encountered God, Jesus, or the Holy Spirit in a powerful way? Think about it as a transformation in one’s life that redefines your mission or purpose. Share about your experience of conversion.
Question 2: When was the last time, if ever, that you asked the question - God, what do you think I should do?
Question 3: Matthew says that when God invites us to trust in him, he promises that everything will work out in the end, but he doesn’t promise that everything will work out the way we want it to. Is there a time you have seen that happen in your life? It has been said that God answers prayers in 3 ways: 1) Yes, 2) Not yet, 3) I have something better for you. How do you interpret that thought?
