Mater Dei Radio NEEDS Help from Knights

Recently, Our Blessed Virgin Mary’s Radio station, KBVM, experienced several events that have impacted the station.  The heavy wet snow several months ago caused two trees to fall over with one damaging a retaining wall.  Additionally, the station had to install some pilings for a retaining wall after some construction on the property next door.  Jeff and Scott have repaired the large retaining wall and completed several other small items.  With Mater Dei Radio dealing with these unexpected expenses, the opportunity to provide assistance in the form of manpower has presented itself to the Knights. 

On July 16, 2022, a work party will plant around one hundred small plants and trees, address a small retaining wall issue, line a drainage channel with rock and spread two units of bark dust.  Scott is seeking help from a number of councils and asking if three or four hard working Brother Knights can assist at the event.  We will start at 8:00 am and a tasty lunch will be provided by Mater Dei Radio.

Parking is limited and overflow parking is available in front of the building located at 1750 SW Skyline Blvd.  The building is located on the corner of SW Skyline and SW Westgate Drive. We will need to coordinate a shuttle to facilitate the transfer of the Knights from the parking area to the radio station.  Please let Scott Petersen  know if and how many able bodied Knights can assist as I will need a head count for parking and lunch.
