Update on Shannon Seeber March 11

Here's the update on Shannon's Brain Surgery with scheduling as we know now.  Today, Friday March 11, she had her COVID-19 test, we are expecting it will be negative, but to preserve it as being negative, Shannon will isolate at home this weekend.  Time change is this weekend to add to the stress. Ted and Christopher will be at 8:30 am Mass at St. Clare's on Sunday.  Sunday evening at 5 Ted will drive Shannon up to St. Vincent's for her final pre-op MRI.  Bright and early Monday morning, Ted will have Shannon back up to St. Vincent's by 5am, for surgery starting at 7:30.  Christopher will have to get himself off to school.  Ted has asked for the Mass intentions on Monday and Friday Daily Mass to be for Shannon, and he will be at the 8:30 AM Mass.  Surgery is due to take 4-5 hours, the operating theater is scheduled for 4.5.  Ted will be back at St. Vincent's by 11 just in case, plus they have his phone number.

Shannon will be at St. Vincent's at least through Thursday, maybe Friday, but is allowed only one designated visitor a day due to COVID-19 restrictions.  She'll be in ICU the first two days, then moved to a normal room for recovery.  Ted will be at the hospital daily 10am-4pm, then go home to make dinner for Christopher.  On Tuesday is Knights of Columbus meeting at 7pm in the fireside room and Ted and Christopher will be there.  Ted is taking the entire week off.

Updates will go out to the Supporting Shannon facebook group, then copied to Catholic Daughters, the SIS mailing list and the Knights blog.  A few select friends will be e-mailed separately.  It's amazing how much support we're getting for this- a school and an orphanage in Pakistan are praying for her, and we've gotten messages from all over the United States, many friends we haven't heard from in ages.
