From the St. Andre Bessette Ministry at St. Clare's

Dear St. Andre Bessette Ministry Volunteers:
Sorrowfully we won't be able to celebrate the great Liturgies of the Catholic Church during Holy Week and Easter together this year. But, I wanted to wish you all a blessed time and particularly make sure you know Fr. Don is recording a video of his solo Masses that can be viewed on the St. Clare Parish Website. Just click the small box with the Mass('s) of your choice on the day(s)  of your choice. Then click  the box again to fill your full screen of your computer  or smart phone. You can fast forward if you wish to just hear the readings and homily if your time is limited but I encourage you to see the full Mass for the full experience of Mass.

I also want to draw your attention to the Sunday after Easter which is Divine Mercy Sunday. This was established by St. Pope John Paul II in the year 2000 and originally requested by Jesus in his vision to St Faustina in 1931. Jesus also gave Sister Faustina a prayer of Divine Mercy which he asked her to spread to the world. A 10 minute video version of this prayer said by the parishioners of the National Shrine of Divine Mercy in Stockton Mass. will be attached to the end of Fr. Don's Divine Mercy Sunday Mass.

In this time of the great World- wide tragedy of the COVID-19 pandemic,  listening to and even silently or verbally repeating the the 10 minute Chaplet of Divine Mercy Prayer with the video could help in bring God's MERCY TO US AND THE WHOLE WORLD as the repetitive words of the Chaplet are "FOR THE SAKE OF HIS SORROWFUL PASSION (Suffering) HAVE MERCY ON US AND ON THE WHOLE WORLD. The Chaplet can be said using the beads of a rosary.

I will remind you all again the week after Easter about the Divine Mercy Sunday Mass and in particular the 10 minute video of  the Chaplet of Divine Mercy prayer at the end of that Mass.

God Bless You All on this most Holy Week of the Year.

John K.
