Father J. McGivney Beatification
Brother Knights,
October 31: A day that will make K of C history In less than two weeks, Father McGivney will be beatified.
Your prayers and work are making a difference in this historic moment for the Knights of Columbus as we move toward the blessed day of Father J. McGivney’s beatification. Thank you for all you are doing.
Here are some points to keep in mind going forward:
Prior to the event, join the K of C in praying a novena in his honor, starting this Thursday, Oct. 22. Novena Details You can also sign up to receive an email on each of the nine days of the novena. Email Details
Father McGivney will be beatified on Oct. 31, 2020, at Hartford’s Cathedral of St. Joseph. Due to Connecticut’s current COVID restrictions on indoor gatherings, very few from outside of Connecticut will be able to attend.
Good news is that the Beatification Mass will be broadcast live on EWTN and other Catholic networks. So anyone who wishes to view the Mass will be able to do so.
Encourage all councils to pray the Prayer for the Canonization of Father McGivney. It is very important that all Knights pray this prayer and report any favors received to the Guild. We need one more miracle for our founder to reach canonization and sainthood, so you will play an even more important role in that process.
Here is the K of C video which shares the story of the miracle leading to the beatification of Father McGivney Hear the full story of Mikey Schachle’s miraculous healing, as told by his parents and the family's physician. WATCH
