Worthy State Deputies

Attached is a PDF of a newly-created prayer card. You're all familiar with the Order's program of outreach and assistance to Christians and other persecuted minorities in the Middle East. Those who are suffering need our material support, and to-date the Order has provided more than $4.4 million in direct assistance. They also need our prayers.

Members and others are encouraged to pray this prayer - composed by Archbishop Lori - regularly. As council chaplains conduct blessing services for Solidarity Crosses - more than 1100 councils have purchased crosses so far - this prayer can be part of those services.

I'll let you know as soon as the cards are printed. That communication will include information on how to order in quantity.
Meanwhile, please feel free to share this PDF with members and councils in your jurisdiction, post it to your state council web site and, for those who have yet to have your mid-year meeting, pray it at that meeting.

Vivat Jesus.

Monthly Activity Reporting Try #2

Since some of you had problems with the Survey Monkey form, Right Click Here for a PDF version that e-mails the Grand Knight. Chrome uses especially need to download the form and use Acrobat to fill it in, the "Send to Ken" button only works in Acrobat, not in Chrome.

Our Knights of Columbus Meeting Night

Click through and comment on this post if you have any opinion. Right now, our next meeting will still be the third Thursday, January 21, 2016. Our December business meeting is canceled due to a conflict with St. Vincent De Paul at both parishes putting together food boxes for delivery Saturday, December 19. Ted Seeber urges you all to volunteer for this wonderful charity opportunity as you can.

Christmas Celebration

Thank you to all who participated in the K/C Christmas Celebration.  We had a good time, including a potluck meal, a brief presentation from the "Return" video series, awards and an after dinner movie; Muppet Christmas Carol.

I was especially honored to bestow a long overdue award to Ted Seeber as "Knight of the Year" for his years of service that included presenting awards to others without receiving one himself!  In addition, a second "Knight of the Year" award was announced for Marc Gregoire who unfortunately was not able to attend our meeting as he was in Seattle.
Phil and Donna Jarvis were awarded "Family of the Year" recognition for their active service in the functions of our council.

It was difficult to limit the number of awards to just two or even three with the level of service provided by the membership of our council.  Each of you deserves recognition for the contributions you've made.  Thank you for this productive year of Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism.

Don't forget the Keep Christ In Christmas Party on Friday December 11, 2015. Door will be open at 5pm, potluck will begin to assemble at 5:30, main presentation will start at 6:15. In addition, Ted Seeber is asking for volunteers. If you attend Mass at St. Clare's, please consider spending a few minutes after Mass in the Narthex selling Keep Christ in Christmas window decals, car magnets, and yard signs during the rest of Advent and this Christmas Season. Let Ted know which Mass you are attending at seebert42@gmail.com, so that he can arrange coverage. All money collected for this program is to be picked up after every Mass and turned in to Phil Jarvis.
