from Brother Daniel Salomon

My sister is asking for🙏 for the ceasefire to continue long enough for her to get the medicine she needs for her bipolar and to have the child welfare meeting to get more hours with her own children because the grandmother has become ill with a contagious disease, not taking care of herself, and being an unfit incompant guardian to the children.

From the District Master

Worthy Sir Knights of Oregon,  Our Brother Knight, Dionisio Terrado, a member of Council 1634 in Hillsboro, Father in-law of Duane Morris, Our District Secretary, suffered a stroke yesterday., and is receiving medical care. Let us all keep Dionisio and all of his family members in our prayers for his speedy recovery.   Richard Huff   District Master, Oregon District

Breakfast Results April 12

$722 gross making $261.60 Expenses (including the syrup error) The crowd was surprisingly light,  only 10 girls showed up for Children's choir. We served 64 breakfasts for the first Mass and 40 for the second.  This was very lite for St Clare's. Thank you to all who volunteered especially Casey LeAir, our youngest Knight to be, volunteering with his father Mark LeAir.

Final Call for Volunteers

We can still use help with the 2nd half of the 2nd shift for the Breakfast on April 12- say 11:45-2pm if we can get enough volunteers for cleanup. Contact seebert42@gmail.com  if you can help us out!

From the Grand Knights Desk

Contact Ted Seeber (St. Clare April 12th), and Mike Devlin (St. John Fisher, April 19th) for volunteer opportunities. We have tentatively added a 3rd breakfast at St. John Fisher scheduled for May 17th. (I will be in attendance!) Our breakfasts are a great opportunity for recruiting, please be prepared to share the Knights story with our parish brothers and families. April 12 Breakfast at St. Clare's is also running into scheduling conflicts

And thus, the available volunteer slots have once again changed: April 11 3:30pm-5pm - Load in groceries.  Stack all items from closet on Butcher Block Counter.  New refrigeration units (white refrigerator and freezer to the right of the refrigerator) available for cold food. April 12 6:30am-10:15am - First shift.  IF you can't make the early start and you normally do a job that doesn't require it, it's ok to start later, but we will not get to organize the kitchen or set up tables until 6:30am, so the more help the better for this time period.  I will allow anybody helping with serving or dining room to escape at 8:30am for Mass, as long as you come back immediately after taking the Eucharist to tell us that communion is going on. April 12 10:30am-2:30pm, 2nd shift and cleanup.  Same deal for anybody on serving line or dining room, you may escape to 10:45 Mass.  All items must be back in the closet and everything locked up by 3pm. Please email Ted Se...
