Message from Rudy Grigar, Director Francis Center

Thank you so much to the Knights of Columbus John Clare Council 15485 for your generous donation of children's coats and the $500 check to the Francis Center. We deeply appreciate your continued support of our community and those we serve.  We had a great visit with Paul this morning.  He got to meet with our clothing coordinator Josette who gave Paul the "grand" tour of Francis Center. Please forward this email to Paul to convey our appreciation.  I didn't have his email address. In gratitude and may God bless the work you do, Rudy Grigar Francis Center Director

update on Fr Joe

Here is the latest update I have on Fr. Joseph Kunnelaya, a brother Knight from Prineville. A member of his parish let us know on Thursday that Fr. Joseph took a turn for the worse. He became unresponsive and was taken back into ICU.  They did further scans and found a brain bleed so they are treating that now. Please keep the prayers coming, he really needs them.

Prayers for Fr. Joe from Prineville

Brothers, I'm wearing my Welfare and Prayer Chairman hat for this message. Fr. Joe Kunnelaya from St. Joesph parish in Prineville was hit by a car while in a crosswalk over the weekend. The accident was witnessed by a police officer who then called for a Life-flight helicopter to transport Fr. To St. Charles hospital in Bend. At last report Fr. Joe has a broken leg which will require surgery as well as injuries to arm/shoulder and other areas. His nephew is with him at the hospital and thanks the many people praying for him and asks that the prayers continue during his recovery.  I'm sure all of our priest are praying for him constantly while they participate in the convocation this week in Newport. Let's add 8000+ prayers from the Oregon Knight of Columbus to the effort as well. Please share this with your councils and parishes so we can get Fr. Joe healed up and back with his parish. Vivat Jesus,  Tim Grady- Executive Secretary Welfare and Prayer Chairman Oregon State...

Very Successful St Clare Breakfast

Gross was $779 164 Breakfasts served I want to thank all who volunteered- especially Dave and Miles McCallister, who came very early to help with the coffee, and Gene Andres who served all three shifts. And my dear wife Shannon, without whom we would have had no blueberries for pancakes!

Pro-Life Holy Hour at SJF Monday October 5 at 7:00pm

Just to remind all of you that our council sponsors a pro-life Holy Hour at St. John Fisher Church on the first Monday of each month starting at 7:00pm.  There will be adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, a pro-life rosary and Benediction.  October is Respect Life Month.  Come and pray with us for respect for the sanctity of life.  Mark your calendars for Holy Hour at 7:00pm Monday October 5 th —better still, make a recurring entry to remind you to join us on the first Monday of each month.

October 4 breakfast still has a few missing volunteers

We could still use volunteers for the breakfast on Sunday- serving line and dining room mainly, along with cleanup. You can either email me at seebert42@gmail.com , call me at 503-318-1508, or use this link  to edit the volunteer spreadsheet directly.
