Child protection is VERY complex

Yep, we're still not done.  Apparently, in addition to doing the Knights training, I was informed by Deacon Bill this morning that St. Clare's had received the wrong information for this year's Archdiocese Armateus training, and thus, we need to fix it/  So click through to the blog posting, then Click on this Link , login with your first initial and last name and the password mmddor (your birthday, 2 digit month, 2 digit day, small case state abbreviation) and complete "Preventing Sexual Harassment" and "Duty to Report". I hope this will be the end of this.  Please complete by Easter if you will be helping with the Easter Egg Hunt at St. Clare's.

Two big events at St Clare's for one interesting weekend

First of all the Breakfast.  Ted is starting his volunteer list, so to volunteer, please e-mail him at seebert42@gmail.com   .  This will be in support of SVDP, who needs the funds right now, so I'd like to see a nice large turnout of volunteers.  We will run the standard three shifts, volunteer for what you can: 6pm-8pm Saturday Evening Setup (hope to get 4-5 volunteers for this) 7am-10:30am:  Email Ted for what you can do for first shift, some jobs may have a later start. 10:30am-2pm:  The easy shift for serving and cleanup, the more we get here the sooner we can leave. Second, St. Clare's is holding overnight adoration April 5 to April 6.  Exposition will be after Soup Supper on April 5, Benediction at 3:45 pm.

Knights Supreme Child Safety Program

This has been really confusing, but I finally found the proper link for those who have NOT been added automatically by Supreme.  The registration code on this link for self-registration is kofcsafe , just click trough the e-mail to the blog post, click the link, and enter the registration code.

Deadline approaching for Men's Retreat at Our Lady of Peace Retreat house

Working with kids as a Knight of Columbus

It has come to my attention that we have fallen behind in our required child protection training as Knights.  Although many of you do not volunteer with children, I have found the training to be informative and eye opening, and well worth your time. I have also found out we cannot do this as a group. We have a few volunteer events coming up in the next 8 months that children will be present at:  The St. Clare's Youth Retreat, the St. Clare's Easter Egg Hunt, the Mother's Day flower sales at both parishes, the Parish Picnics at both parishes. I feel it would be good for all of us to get this training. Please contact seebert42@gmail.com for the training document.

From our fellow Knight Bill Diss- Deo Gracias Dinner

Dear Friends for Life and Purity, I wanted to invite all of you to a special dinner on Saturday, March 9, 2019, 7:00 PM Holy Rosary's Sienna Hall 375 NE Clackamas Street Portland, Oregon, 97232. The dinner was originally intended to be a fund raiser to help pay legal fees. The great news is that by God's providence, the legal fees have been paid. Thanks to all who donated so generously. Please come to give thanks, offer a prayer and enjoy a good meal. We would like a rough head count so call 971-329-8421, if you are able or you can send a reply email. God Bless, Bill Diss Link for more  information  on case.

More advice from a 105 year old Knight (these are pretty good)
