From the Grand Knights Desk
✈Gentlemen, please be advised, I will be traveling the next two weeks.
✈Yes, I will again miss breakfasts at St. Clare & St. John Fisher.
I ask that if you have considered volunteering in the past, please sign up and help fill the void of those who are unable to attend. Contact Ted Seeber (St. Clare April 12th), and Mike Devlin (St. John Fisher, April 19th) for volunteer opportunities.
We have tentatively added a 3rd breakfast at St. John Fisher scheduled for May 17th. (I will be in attendance!)
Our breakfasts are a great opportunity for recruiting, please be prepared to share the Knights story with our parish brothers and families.
State Convention May 1st-3rd, reminders;
- All third and fourth degree Knights in good standing may attend all or portions of the convention. Our voting Delegates are Don Mey and Erik Riechers
- All members attending any portion of the convention (exception mass and brunch with the Bishop on Friday) must register on line and pay a registration fee of $25.00 if signed up before April 15th. If you sign up after the 15th registration is $50.00!!! Sign up now. https://donorbox.org/events/904885/steps/choose_tickets
- All meals (optional) at the convention require pre-registration and payment in advance. See online registration for details and costs. (Links on the blog, see Ted's post, or directly at the Oregon Knights of Columbus site, click on convention logo)
- Volunteer opportunities at the convention, there are still a few left. https://signup.com/go/QEXBirO1
- Our council will provide a "gift basket" for auction at the State Convention. We will hopefully fill the basket through donations from our Knights, wine, Oregon Crafts, gift cards, etc... I will get us started with two bottles of wine and an Oregon shaped cheese cutting board. ( I have a large basket which should suffice) please contact Don Mey, if you wish to donate.
💐Lastly, Mother's Day May 10th, flower distribution at St. Clare & St. John Fisher, another great volunteer opportunity, proceeds help support Mother & Child education Center. More information will be at our meeting, April 21.
