OCTOBER IS RESPECT LIFE MONTH

Since 1973, the year the Supreme Court legalized abortion nationwide in Roe v. Wade, the month of October has been set aside by the U.S. bishops as a time to focus on protecting God’s precious gift of human life.  What better way to start the month than attending our council sponsored pro-life Holy Hour at St. John Fisher Church on Tuesday October 3rd at 7PM.  Our Holy Hours including Eucharistic Exposition, Pro-life Rosary and Benediction are at St. John Fisher at 7PM on the first Tuesday and at St Clare from 2PM to 4PM on the first Saturday of each month.

A new program for Brotherhood in Christ

Fraternity, Formation, Prayer.  Supreme is asking us to start some form of the Cor program in our parishes.    Please visit the link from the blog, and watch the video at least.  There are a lot of options to implement this program.  Let's get those creative juices flowing, and we'll discuss soon.  Help the man- to help the family- to help the church.

Save the date, September 30th at St. Matthew's in Hillsboro

Worthy Brother Knights, Many of you may have heard at this point that St. Joseph's  Catholic Church in Salem experienced a devastating fire  early on 8/31. This is extremely devastating to our Catholic  community in Oregon and especially the Salem metro area.  It is one of the largest Parishes in the State. It is in times like this, when we as Knights are called to step  forward to assist those in need. I have reached out to the  Parish, the Council, the DDs in the area, and the Archdiocese  on guidance on how best to proceed. I also made correspondence  with Supreme. Having reached out to these resources, I have the  following information for all councils and would like to strongly  encourage each and every member of the State to assist in  any possible way. 1. There will be a public Rosary in the parking lot at St. Joseph's  on Sunday evening 9/ 3 at 7pm . Thank you very much to the  Keizer Council for helpin...
