Then Don introduced himself and discussed his background in Sales & Customer Service: he is presently retired and donates much of his time to working at St. Clare and in our Council He went on to say that he saw our Council as composed of men of action and faith Don Mey will strive to increase membership by improving the parishes and various ministries visibility of Knights activities and service offerings There will be one Parish Liason: St. Clare - Don Mey; St. John Fisher - Mike Devlin; and St. Elizabeth- Marc Gregoire  7:15 pm     Treasurer's Report - Mike Devlin 6/21/2022 Beginning balance            ...

At our meeting on Tuesday, July 19, Tom Owens made the motion and Marc Gregoire seconded, to have the Council donate $300 to help support the work of the St. Andrews Nativity School in NE Portland. The motion was tabled to next month to give the members more time to learn about St. Andrews Nativity School, and why we should support it. The following information was offered by Tom Owens: This school, under the sponsorship of the Jesuits, provides a first-class education, tuition free, for about 45  6  through 8 grade low income, predominately minority boys and girls. The staff also commit to follow up with the students and their families to prepare to get high school scholarships and later scholarships for college and/or work training programs. Michael Chau and I attended a tour of the school and fund-raising lunch there last month and were impressed.
