IMPORTANT! Updated Information about Bob Owens funeral arrangements Dear family and friends,
As you know from our earlier email, Bonnie and I were shocked and greatly saddened by the sudden death of our son, Bob, in a car crash on Sept. 2 near Bend, OR. We want to express our deep gratitude and appreciation to family, friends, and strangers who have shared in our grief. This has made our sorrow more bearable and meaningful. We are still grieving but want to share with you our revised plans for funeral services for Bob and invite you to participate in part or all the events to be held on Friday, October 22. Each is described here. We apologize for this last-minute change but there were undisclosed problems with the reception venue before now.
OVERVIEW. We will begin on Friday with a memorial mass at St. Anthony’s Church in Tigard at 10 a.m., followed by the burial at St. Anthony’s Cemetery at 11:25, and a reception and celebration of life at Creekside Village Senior Resident social room on the 2nd floor, starting at approximately 12. Guests can arrive at Creekside Village any time after 11 a.m. Please park only in the Visitor spaces or on Erickson Ave. A tree planting will take place at Spirit of Grace church at 2 p.m. We expect to be finished about 3 p.m.
LIVESTREAMING. Good news! For those of you who are unable to attend the funeral mass in person, we are having the service livestreamed. For those watching it live: 1. Go to www.satigard.org, 2. Click on “Videos of Mass’, and then 3. Click on the play button. To watch a rebroadcast, follow the above steps, click on “Previous Broadcasts”, then find and click on the desired Live stream (i.e., Robert Owens Funeral Mass).
