Blessed Fr. Michael J. McGivney

Brother Knights, In his 13 years of ministry, Fr. Michael J. McGivney served in two Connecticut parishes and a mission church, all within 25 miles of his birthplace. Now, 130 years after his death, he is known and venerated throughout the world. Knights of Columbus, their families and Catholics from nearly every continent recognize in him a holy example of faith and the universal principles that he taught — charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism. They honor his memory, ask for his intercession and pray that now-Blessed Michael McGivney will soon be canonized what they believe him to be — a saint. Here is a new documentary (30 minutes) which explores the life, legacy and impact of Fr. Michael J. McGivney, the founder of the Knights of Columbus and apostle of spiritual brotherhood and unity.
