As you all know, we got Star Council last year. This is a yearly award for councils that achieve insurance, membership, and charitable program quotas. Some reasons we got this award include:
- Coats for Kids
- RSVP program for Vocations
- Our involvement with Mother and Child Education Center fundraising
- Our involvement with Special Olympics
- 8th Grade Essay Contest
- Our Pro-Life rosaries on 1st Saturday Adoration at St. Clare and 1st Tuesday Adoration at SJF
- Two transfers and a new member last year
- COVID-19 spiritual program last spring
We will be repeating this presentation at a date to be determined at SJF- Gene was ill this week, so we needed to reschedule. One surprise is that pins came with the award, one for the Past Grand Knight, one for the Program Director (Gene Andres) and one for the Membership Director (Joe Mildenberger). Thanks are also due to District Deputy Dan Boone, who helped keep us on track. On the plus side, by rescheduling the SJF presentation, Dan will be able to be there.
