From Deacon Bill- looking for volunteers to commit to a Holy Hour weekly during Lent.
As you are aware, Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, scheduled this year on February 26th. Our goal is to provide our entire community with more opportunities to have a fruitful and spiritual experience in order to embrace and connect with our loving and merciful God. As a result, the church will be open two days a week for one hour on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2:30-3:30pm enabling parishioners to spend some quiet time with Jesus who is present in our midst in the Tabernacle. Spiritual books, bibles and rosaries will be available to help us focus on the season of Lent
preparing us for the great feast of Easter, or you can just avail yourselves of some sacred space for peace. And, if you cannot commit to an hour, please stop by for the time that you have.
Your help is needed!
For security reasons, the church cannot be left ‘unattended, so I am asking for at least 3 people to commit to staying the full hour on each of the 8 available days, March 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19, April 1 and 2 (March 25 and 26 are not included due to the school Spring break.) In total, 24 time slots need to be filled. Volunteers are welcome to serve for more than one day. If you are able to help, please sign up at the east church door or email me at dcnbill@saintclarechurch.org with available dates. School parents may earn in-parish tuition hours for volunteering. St. Clare is such a great
community, I am certain all the time slots will be filled! Thank you! ~ Deacon Bill
