Ray Prom State Deputy Oregon Knights of Columbus Brother Knights of Oregon, Our Polish Brothers have been busy, and this weekend are in the process of collecting medical supplies and other necessities, to be driven into Ukraine Monday morning, and delivered to the city of Lviv.  They have collection sites in various cities throughout Poland.  But their efforts will not be enough. Knowing that they will need help from around the Order, Supreme has set up a Ukrainian Relief Fund.  Here is the link : https://www.kofc.org/en/news- room/articles/knights-pledge- assistance-ukrainian-refugees. html The Supreme Council will match, dollar for dollar, all donations up to $500,000. My understanding is that the Polish State Council will then help provide assistance to the Ukrainians, with the monies donated through this fund. Ray Prom State Deputy Oregon Knights of Columbus Today (Thursday) at 1:30 PM, I called the State Deputy from Poland.  He had been communicating to me through Facebook messenger just prior. He had just got off the phone with the State Deputy from Ukraine.  (Yes, we have Knights of Columbus in the Ukraine.) The Ukrainian State Deputy contacted the Polish State Deputy to let him know that there were some Brother Knights from the Ukraine, fleeing the battles, and going with their families hurriedly into neighboring Poland. He asked that assistance be given to the Ukrainian Knights and their families. When I asked what Oregon could do, if we could send money, the Polish State Deputy passed on the request from the Ukrainian State Deputy. He asked that we pray. ALL of us, every day, for the victims of the war.  So I want to relay his message to all of you, to all our Brother Knights in Oregon, and their families. Brother Knights, The time is drawing near for one of the highlights of the Fraternal year, the Oregon Knights of Columbus State Convention. The 114th State Convention will be back in Lebanon, OR, at the Boulder Falls Best Western, on April 22-24. The theme for this year's convention is `'Here I am Lord''.  We have been invite to select our delegates to join live for this great opportunity to renew old friendships and make new ones, select our state leaders and to help chart the course of Oregon for the next Fraternal Year. If you would like to be a delegate or would like more detailed information, please let me know. This will be an agenda item at our next Council Meeting on March 15th.
