Hello Knights, Tom Owens, one of our Brother Knights in our Council, introducing during New Business two meetings ago a request to support the Mt. Angel Abbey appeal for a new floor in the Monk's Refectory. It was reported at our last meeting that between our Council and Knights donations we have raised $650 so far. This is really good for our small Council, unfortunately the cost to replace all 2800 square feet of the flooring will be about $50,000. Please consider donating if you have not already. You can donate either by a cash/check/PayPal donation (Phil Jarvis at pdjarvis1@comcast.net) or directly to the Abbey. We have also sent this request to our other District Councils and up to State for wider distribution so all Oregon Councils could participate if they choose. There was a Fraternal Benefits Night - Long Term Care on May 17. There was a Potter's Field ceremony to denote the past event where 164 unclaimed dead bodies were buried at Potter's Field. Real Drivers' License ID is not due until 5/3/2023.
