From the Tennessee State Deputy

Worthy Brothers please read the message from the State Deputy of Tennessee.

My Worthy Brother State Deputies,
Let me begin by expressing my deep gratitude for your incredible outpouring of fraternal love and support for your brothers in the Volunteer State.  I have received so many emails and calls from all of you, and I apologize for not being able to respond to each of your emails as the past forty-eight hours have consumed my time.
This evening, we established a PayPal account for the Tennessee State Council to facilitate the receipt of donations.  Please share with your councils and members the following steps for any Knights who may be interested in donating to the disaster recovery:
  1. Go to www.paypal.com
  2. Click on Send
  3. Enter the following email: StateTreasurer@kofc-tn.org
  4. Enter desired amount of donation.
  5. In comment section, type: “Tornado” and if you wish, enter donor’s name and council/jurisdiction.
  6. Enter method of payment.
Checks may also be mailed to:
Mr. Bill Markiewicz
State Treasurer
PO Box 896
Cleveland TN 37364-0896

(Please write Nashville-Cookeville Tornado Relief in the memo field of the check)

Funds will be used to provide for immediate needs for those who are displaced, as well as toward the long-term recovery for the Diocese.  In particular, two of our historic churches in Nashville (Assumption and Holy Name) suffered considerable damage.

Also, please see my letter from last evening to the Tennessee Knights, please consider offering a rosary for the victims of the tornadoes this Friday between noon-3 pm on the second Friday of our Lenten journey.  Thank you! And God bless you all!

Vivat Jesus,

Michael R. McCusker
State Deputy
Tennessee State Council
Knights of Columbus
