As was posted earlier, Paul Pompili’s brother, James, was injured in a fall from a latter last week. James remains in the hospital and is slowly recovering. Paul is in West Virginia with family and his brother. He asks for our continued prayers. Following is the update on James’ condition sent by Paul today:
Hello prayer warriors I thought I would send you a current
update on my brother every day is encouraging. He still has some brain swelling
and a little fluid but his lungs are getting much better there was fluid in
those but they put in drain tubes and have gotten rid of most of the fluid his
right side lung is still not up to full capacity but he is working on it
diligently he can still give you a good grip on his right hand and move his
toes on his right foot and leg but he cannot move his left leg or wiggle his
toes on his foot but he can move his arm now and has a slight grip with his
left hand. Today they took his feeding tube out so he is able to eat puréed
food but there still is some concern about him swallowing but they said all
these will take time to begin working properly. So thank you very much for all
your prayers and please keep them coming and he said to tell everyone thank you
for all their prayers. They are hoping to move him out of ICU later today or
tomorrow and he will go to a step down unit and then they are looking for a
physical therapy facility to take him in. I know all your prayers are working
so thank you very much God bless. 😊🙏🙏🙏
